Is it safe?

I do my best to mange risk, and I have a relatively conservative bar. General aviation flying is statistically a fairly risky activity, but it varies considerably based on pilot attitude and experience. I am a cautious but inexperienced pilot.

How far in advance is best to plan for this?

It really depends on what you want to do! We can just fly around, or we could do some sightseeing. I have a whole page on logistics. As long as the rental availability, weather, my health as a pilot, and our schedules allow... flying can be very flexible! We can go wherever we want, whenever we want as long as it is safe and legal.

Can I fly the plane without a license?

Yes! Let's talk about it beforehand so we can be prepared, but this is totally legal in the US. I am not a flight instructor, so I cannot legally provide training. However, as pilot in command I can allow you to manipulate the controls while still retaining responsibility for the safety of the flight. I will take over before we get anywhere close to being unsafe.

How much does it cost?

You don't need to know, and you legally are not allowed to pay for me. :P
